Its good to see everyone here! It has been a hell of a year for me and my girls, lol long and short, divorcing, custody battle, moved out of state, engaged to a wonderful man and finally relaxing a bit. ;D
I hope everyone is doing well, I hope to get my fiancé signed up for the 2 groups, he is very knowledgeable about computers. We are just so busy, we dont spend much time on the computers at all any more, which is kind of nice, lol
Katt

Thank you for accepting me today. I may be asking a lot of questions for a while, just got a new PC with Windows 7 Those of you that know me will realise I am far from new as far as Proboards is concerned I prefer it far more than some of the others.

It was a good job you told me that it was impossible to apply Buzzy, or I would never have thought to check the settings. That is probably why we haven't had any applicants lately, although we have had plenty of visitors. I know he settings were alright, or we wouldn't have any members at all. I can only think that the settings got changed, when Proboards updated to version 5 or whatever it is. All the other settings look right, it was only that one and I would never have noticed it if I hadn't been looking for the fault. Proboards control panel isn't the easiest to understand, unless you read all the fine print at the side and that's in a dialect I'm not altogether familiar with.

Ken - thanks. I am sure we can help with most Proboard queries as and when, or if not, Lynnrose will certainly be willing for sure.

Well I sincerly hope we are not going to get anymore problems with the site. That wasn't really a problem, it was just that nobody who was already a member could have been aware that Proboards had thrown a switch.

Hello Buzzy! It's good to see you, in fact you are online as I write this.
Ken, Thanks to your mastery of that unfamiliar dialect, we've had an incredibly smooth ride with Proboards. I for one remember all of the problems and frustrations with the old MSN site - yech!
Thank you Cap'n! Cheers, Alannah

I did think we were doing too well Alannah, although Proboards have always been pretty smooth. I've been very lucky to have Judy and Lynnrose to help me with the code. The Help group is very useful too and thats run by members and not Proboards themselves. I got some very swift advice from them while trying to get the site built and screwed up. In fact they were so fast, that nobody noticed the site was down for about half and hour or so and that happened twice. The other times its been due to Proboards maintenance and that dont happen often. MSN was easier for the admin, but lousy for the members and this has been a great change over all. Our little family have made this site what it is and now I have reset things the family might get a little bit bigger.

Hi Alannah, thanks for the welcome.
I anticipate I shall be around fairly frequently when I get to understand Windows 7 fully, just setting up a new machine.

It's a steep learning curve intially Buzzy, but once you get the hang of it, you'd never go back to XP. Welcome back by the way! ;D
