Your private network is your computer and its connection to the internet Jorg. You need to connect your Android box to your router/modem, to give it access to the internet. That will include it in your private network and you should be able to control your TV from your computer.

Ok Ken, I don't think I explained it very well, I have a internet connection via WiFi that works fine but I see people say you need to hide your Android box from the film company's so they can't see what you are up to? this is all new to me.

You cant use your WiFi Jorg, you have to connect to the router using a cable. Although you have a Wireless router, you will have at least 2 cable connections as well. Your router will have a built in firewall that will hide the box from anyone outside of your network.
