The last time we could see the sky before this disgusting weather. I think the old red sky at night, went out of kilter somehow. The picture was taken using a polarising filter.

Well something happened not sure out of kilter is the word! - think maybe another shot with filter turned slightly (in other words you need to play a bit) the polariser is difficult to get the result you are looking for and your shooting into the light as well. Good try tho and it shows what you were aiming for Ken

My filter isn't up to the job Ann, not shooting direct into the sun like that. It would have been better if the sun was a bit more below the hill, but a sunset can change from one minute to the next and I didn't wait. If I had been shooting 45 degrees one way or the other, it would have been OK. I just didn't have any more twist left, for a direct shot. It was second hand, thats probably why the bloke sold it.

You are right about sunset changing minute by minute, lucky to see a sunset I guess with our weather at the moment,it's awful.
