Y'know something, I've often wondered what purpose the layer tool served in PShop, but as I didn't see a use for it I never bothered finding out. Likewise I never bothered with colour controls, plugins and the like simply because there is so much of it, I can't take it all in, never mind remember it all. I use all the usual stuff, like cropping, contrast/brightness, resizing & reorientation, hue/saturation, burn tool and sharpen/smudge tools; however a source of disappointment has always been the auto settings - they are either too much or too little. One of these days I'll begin to get my head round some of the other functions - perhaps!

I don't really do portraits so my comment is small - in Vickies edit the eyes are sharper than yours Kev and of course you know without me telling you the more editing you do to a shot it will create more noise (there is a programme in Topaz to remove noise kindly but you may also lose detail a little at the same time, they offer a trial if your interested) also in the edit I think by Ken! The picture has a blue tint which doesn't look right if you have PS move the colour sliders toward green and see if you can get rid of the bluey effect. But in actual fact the edit is not best, you need to go back to start and try again, sorry. It's a bit late now or I would have a go myself - maybe I will tomorrow.
