Everone who pulls up here to admire the view, builds one of these cairns of stones. I know I did. It's a very interesting view, even though I had the camera settings all wrong for the shot.... I've done some repair work with Photoshop elements, but with a wrong overexposure value of +2, I wanted to know if you think it's still turned out Ok composition wise, etc!

I just trimmed off the bit I didn't like Kev.

By doing that Ken, you lose the feeling and depth of the great open space behind the cluttered foreground that I was trying to capture in the shot. The vista is what portrays that feeling. JMHO.
It would have been better to see more clouds in the sky, which there was that day, but by over-exposing the shot as I inadvertently did, I lost them.

I like the panoramic effect Kev; but thats the trouble, nobody sees things quite the same way. Never mind the quality, feel the width.

It's the simple "Rule of Thirds" Ken. Especially with landscapes. I'm no expert, but I think my pic looks better than your cropped one, sorry.

I dont know what the rule of thirds is all about Kev. I thought the rocks were the subject and everything else was a bonus.
