Nice sunsets Ray, but I like the presentation. Most of your presentations are of one subject and have a natural flow. This type of presentation, you can change the subject and not lose the overall balance. Is this one part of the program you normally use. or is it another program??
I quite like Powerpoint, but its very hard work to produce something that looks good. I've not made anything lately; so it might have got better, but in the past I have had a lot of trouble with the sound on Powerpoint. It might be me, but if it is I'm not the only one with the same problem.

Yes Ken, this one was different, it was a collection of some of my favourite photos set to some nice music. Both the photos and the music complimented each other I think.
I use Proshow Producer for all my shows Ken and have never had a problem with it, this latest version has some very nice features as you saw in the show.

I have just installed Proshow Producer 4.1 Ray. I saw on the forums that some people prefer it to v.5. I dont know what version you use. I'm not too bothered as even Proshow Gold would be better than nothing and I think thats quite basic. I haven't had a chance to try and do anything with it yet, just hoping its not too complicated. There seems to be plenty of YouTubes to show you how to do different things. Our Ted did a tut on adding music and voice to Camatasia and I dont think PP is much different. I have done it with WMM and I think they are all very similar. I think getting the right music and making it fit is the hardest part. You have got that right off to pat, but you have had a bit of practice.

Hi Ken,
I use Version 5 Ken as that's the one that comes with all the 3D effects that I used quite a bit in this show and as a long time user of Producer moving to Version 5 was a natural progression for me despite the cost but having said that Ver 4.1 is a good starting point for new comers. Version 5 is laid out a little differently to earlier versions and in my opinion is better. This is probably why some prefer earlier versions but for me version 5 is the way to go as it has so much more to offer than the version I was using (Ver 4.5) but again it's horses for courses.
The music is incredibly important ken because it's the thing that makes the slide show flow properly as you need to sync it with what you are trying to put over, too fast and the show wont work, too slow and the same applies. I remember doing the Autumn Splendour show, I had all the pics for the show but just couldn't find the music to compliment them and it was 9 months before I found a piece of music. I was re-felting my shed roof one day with the wireless headphones on listening to a CD that Gloria had sent me and there it was, as soon as I heard the intro I thought 'Westonbirt!', got down from the roof and went straight onto the computer and put the music into the show to see if my hunch was right and sure enough it was.
I find that music from the American Duo '2002' is just perfect for a lot of my shows. I was so surprised and chuffed recently when Pamela Copus (one half of the duo) sent me a friends request on Facebook and has messaged me several times to say that she and her hubby Randy (the other half of the duo) felt honoured to have their music accompany such artistic videos! I was totally gob smacked that some one as talented as they obviously are felt that about my videos. Every time I put a new one up on You Tube now Pamela always messages me and tells me how much she enjoyed watching it. She particularly likes the ones featuring the Cotswolds as she has never been to the UK and would like to come and she even suggested that when they do come maybe they could meet up with me and Carol.
If you need any help with your shows just let me know.

Thanks Ray, I might need a bit of advice once I get into it. I had a little play with it last night, just to find my way around it a bit. Its not as difficult as it looks at first glance, although I've got to figure out the fine tuning. If I can get the pictures working on the backgrounds OK, I can think about adding sound later on. I dont want to strain my brain cell, by trying to do too much too soon.
Its certainly a big compliment, when people like that get in touch. It would be nice if they can come over and meet up with you and Carol. You would have to make a presentation of the meeting.
