Good one Ray.
Another photographers paradise, its got just about everything there.
It was Emma's ( from Emma's Bar in Golfito ) dream to go there and I promised to take her when she came over. Unfortuately she died of cancer before she was able to come and I've never bothered to go there. I will try and get there this year. I more or less went right passed it, going from Lemington Spa to Warwick last year. At least Kev got to see it.

Cheers Ken, it really is a nice day out well worth a visit, we had our lunch at the Swan which was featured in the show, not bad, 2 meals for £9.95.
I was in Golfito quite a few times when I was on the Sinaloa...

The Banana Company pulled out in 1985 Ray, when the M2 class ships went. They had sold the 4 M1 class ships in 1981 and that only left them with the 2 Philippine ships, the David and Darian in 85. I don't know what happened to them, but they never came back. The Cunard meat boats used to run the few bananas to the US west coast, that the local Coops produced. All the Company plantations were planted with African Palm. Its one huge marina now and I drove the first piling in 1991, with a barge I built.
