I've had a good show of Tomatoes this year. Instead of Ailsa Craig I bought six young healthy plants 'Gardeners Delight' from ALDI. The fruits are small, sweet and plentiful and the whole family has had a good share of them throughout August and September. I planted three of them in 10" plastic pots with a good dollop of horse dung, mixed with some potting compost and and the other three I used grow bags. Without a doubt the pot plants are much tastier and next year I will be growing the same plants again, but in pots. The plants in the pic look a bit scabby but Autumn is well on its way and Winter won't be far behind, so it's time for a clear out. Tony

I think that must be the best crop of tomatoes I've even seen Tony.

Yes Ken it's most probably the best crop I've had. As I said I usually grow Ailsa Craig but they have disappointed the last few years. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend 'Gardeners Delight', they are really tasty. Thanks for your comment. Tony
