I used to love the hills Jorg and I've camped in Snowdonia, the Peak District and the Highlands. That was 50 years ago, now its a job to go up and down the hill to the bus stop. I wish I had gone to Snowdonia first, its like a billard table after the Peaks and Highlands. Although very small by world standards, the Peak District must be some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Scarfell Pike has to be the meanest looking mountain in the world and I been up a few.

Is it getting too much water Sam?? I've seen that before where I used to live and they surrounded a lake. The flowers at one end used to go like that and they were growing in a swamp that drained into the lake. Some new owners dug a channel so the land didn't flood and the flowers got better.

Nice picture Jorg... I never worry too much about people getting in the shot, if they don't move I know I can always deal with them afterwards. Ray

Hope it works Sam, its only an observation on my part and I dont know if they did anything else. I know they like to live near water, but so did I and I still dont drink it.

Not sure if you know this Sam but you should never use tap water in this area to water Rhododendrons due to the minerals contained within the water which Rhododendrons don't like. I always use rain water collected in the water butt for mine and they always do very well.

The stream that used to flood the Rhododendrons comes out of an ironstone bed, so they used to get a lot of some kind of iron. The size of the carp in the lake, they must have loved it.
