Really nice pics Tony, it looks like an interesting place, how big are the gardens?
Have you noticed how difficult it is to capture red flowers sometimes with digital cameras especially when they have the sun on them, frustrates the hell out of me at times! Lol!
Ray.

Ray, I understand like me old age is on the way so may I say it's me and not Tony ! Sheringham Park is managed by the NT, the grounds are set in an estate of 1,000 acres around 1.5 miles from the sea, the gardens take up around 50 acres. It also has a hall and as you get near the sea front the North Norfolk steam train goes by. To hit the flowers at their best every year I have to email the park every two days around this time, otherwise you miss them, jorg

Sorry Jorg, I'm sure you know all about senior moments! Lol! I am very interested in you comments on Sheringham Park because I travel around the country visiting quite a few National Trust sites and am always on the look out for new ones. As you know I have done quite a few You Tube Presentation of each NT site that I visit which is good for people who are thinking of visiting these place to have some idea what they are like before they go. My presentations get plenty of viewing, close to 10,000 now so in view of these viewing figures I intend to continue to produce these presentations both for myself as a DVD record of my visit and for You Tube also to share with others. I may have to think about coming up your way and spending a couple of days visiting various places around there. Your wife's picture is excellent also, great definition and balance and such a lovely flower, I am sure you must have enough really nice pictures to make a presentation of your own.

Rhododendrons and Azaleas are my favourite flowers. They dont take lot of looking after and they always put on a fine display. I dont think I have ever been to Sheringham Park, but there is some lovely countryside around your way Jorg.

Ray, if you come up this way at the right time you can make a trip starting at Sheringham Park, going on to Felbrigg Hall and ending at Blickling Hall, all NT properties. Time to come is around now as Blickling Hall also has a great collection of Azaleas etc. jorg Ken, it's a little to flat for me here in East Anglia, I love hills and Mountains myself, I can walk for hours up in the hills.
