Its a fantastic board Kev. It likes to have a little bit of overclock on, it runs smoother and the temperatures stay the same. Its a 3200 MHz CPU and its favorite speed is 3600 MHz, thats its default profile on this board firing on 6 cores. If you want to save power, its better to shut a couple of cores down than knock the speed back. If you put it on Auto, the speed goes up and down and it seems unstable. Like flying a jumbo jet. I must take a photo with it shut down, the leds dont show up anyway and the fans look filthy. The fans look spotless when its shut down and the photo was only taken a couple of hours after it was rebuilt.

No it was one of them really hot days, I had been using the Ship Sim for couple of hours and it warmed the rad up a bit. This one is about average Elvis, it normally between 30 and 33° C. The graphics get up to about 48° C when the sims are running; but being air cooled and not water, they cool down quicker. Water cooling is better, but its slower to change.

Your cooling 2 cores and I'm cooling 6 with the same system Elvis. I'm quite happy with the temperatures and I can always knock the clock back if things start warming up too much. Heat isn't much of a problem. I dont push the voltages up like some people. I run the graphics fans at about 60% and increase them to 90% when using the simulators, so I've even got 10% spare. Now the hot weather seems to have set in, I've been running my room cooler and that makes a difference to the computer.

Keep the CPU below 40° C and your in good shape Elvis. Graphics cards will go right off the clock if your not careful, but unless you play really heavy games its not a problem. Some of my sims push the GPUs to 90%+, they really have to work.

Your mobo is running hot Elvis, thats your graphics card heating the inside of the case. Even running hot, the Super Beasts mobo rarely goes above 30° C. I would put a slot fan if I was you and put it in the slot above the graphics card. Then it will suck the heat from the card and blow it out the back. Or mount it the other way up under the card, so it sucks the air across the heat sink and blows it out. The north bridge probably runs 8 or 10 degrees hotter than the south bridge; but if it gets too hot, the machine will get wobbly and a hot mobos not helping.

I cant 't seem to find a slot fan and i don't now what you mean by a slot fans the only one i have seen was £25.00 and i wont pay that much i do have a fan blowing air on too the card but i think it is too far away from it as it is on the power supply.

Thats the whole idea Elvis. If it's blowing on the GPU, it's going to be blowing already hot air onto it. These fans get rid of the hot air, helping to suck cool air into the case from outside.
The whole idea of cooling is to eradicate the hot air inside the case. A fan placed inside the case will only circulate hot air, and virtually do nothing for cooling.

Thats the idea Elvis, suck the hot air away from the hot bits so cold air can get to them. You cant just keep blowing air in, it just gets hot under pressure. You have to keep air moving across the hot spots. Its not just the CPU to keep cool, you have to think about the GPU, Memory, North Bridge, South Bridge, HDDs and the motherboard in general. One degree up on the motherboard, will put 2 degrees up on the North Bridge and that works as hard as the CPU. Everyone thinks about keeping the CPU cool, but thats just one small part of a computer. The idea of water cooling the CPU, it gives a much better chance of putting the fans to good use.

I was scoring top 4% with Radeon HD 5830's, now I'm up to top 2% with Radeon HD 6870 + HD 5830.
