Although the computer worked fine, I found the graphics cards still needed some paging file. I didn't find out until I used the simulator and it went funny on me after a while. I added enough paging file to cover the graphics memory and now all seems well again and I've still got a 6.4 rating for the disk. Thats something to remember if your a gamer and you try this out.

Thanks Steve.
I have had to slowly add to the paging file, until the flight simulator settled down. Its still less than the installed memory, but its a bit of trial and error to get it right and not set the rating back. I have tested the printer, scanner and all the other hardware now and cant find any faults. Its built to run Windows Flight Simulator X, with addons and the hardware consists of Saitek yoke, peddles, two quadrants, switch and multi control panels. I only lack the radio panel, but I'm not bothered about that at this point. Its got to be a fully functioning computer as well, so the balance is critical.

I've got a copy of FS Global X 2008 Steve, which didn't seem to work very well. I had to read the book and found out where it was going wrong. It was writing itself to the Microsoft Games Directory and the Microsoft Flight Sim X is in the MS Games directory. I uninstalled and reinstalled; then I located it within the Flight Sim folder itself. Now the terrain looks fantastic. Towns and villages are far from perfect, but major monuments and well known places of interest are all where they are supposed to be. London looks fantastic by night, from 10000 feet. Its supposed to improve terrain quality by about 63%, to me its looks more like 163%. Its terrible, when you have to start reading manuals though. After reinstalling it, I took off and found my multi panel had gone out on me. There I was at 4000 feet, with no GPS, maps, or even a decent compass. The undercart was locked, but at least it was down and not up. I bet theres a few pilots who wish they can do what I can do, like walk round the plane in mid flight and check it out. All the hardware seems to be working OK now, I will soon find out on my next flight.
