Your welcome Annette. See what Kev has to say on the subject, hes probably got more idea about them than me. I think Oz gets the same builds as you do over there, the UK often get different builds not available across the Pond. For better or for worse, Europe have got different standards to the rest of the world. Sometimes what seems to be the same model; with a European number, is totally different inside the case.

ASUS would be my first choice Lez. HP are also pretty good apart from all their crappy software.

I have to agree with Kev on the HP crapware Annette. But when I bought Mini Two, Windows 7 was installed and the trialware and crapware wasn't. I didn't put any of it on. Its all been reinstalled now with Pro and it works OK without any of the HP crap. I have a HP Officejet H470 printer which I use with Mini and Molly. I custom installed that and didn't install the the HP shopping or any of the crap that writes links to the net. So you can get round the crapware and dont have to have it. If you can get a good deal on a HP, dont be put off by the software. Even if you accidently install something annoying, you can uninstall it in Add & Remove Programs.
Now they might install the software the other side of the Pond, I'm not sure about that. EEC regulations are very strict about what they can and cant install over here. Even if it does come all ready installed, it can all safely be removed.

If its of any use - I bought the Fujitsu laptop from Ebuyer recently for my son and its looking good £295 including postage and has a video web cam already installed with 2 gig of Ram - it has windows 7 and I have been working on it recently to get his messenger downloaded, transferred his pics from the desk top and about to remove the desktop that had XP installed but it was slow to a point of reaching standstill and nothing I did would speed it up. Its wired into his Virgin modem and is 64 bit..........................
